Home/Services/Plaster Ceilings

A ceiling built for your room, not a catalogue.

As a plaster ceiling contractor working across KL and Selangor, we design and install custom plaster ceilings sized to your room — not pulled off a brochure shelf. Every project starts with a site visit, not a phone quote.

01Profile & Finish

A profile chosen for your room, not a brochure.

Flat, tray and box-up plaster ceilings each suit different room heights and design goals. We walk you through the real trade-offs — cost, ceiling depth, install time — before you commit to one, rather than upselling the most expensive profile by default.

  • Tailored ceiling profilesFlat, tray or box-up plaster ceilings sized to your room's height and layout — never a one-size-fits-all mould pulled from a supplier catalogue.
  • Clean, modern finishesCrisp lines and hand-stopped joints suited to contemporary new-builds as much as renovated older terrace and semi-D homes.
  • Paint-ready hand finishingEvery ceiling is skim-coated, sanded and primed so your painter — or our own finishing crew — can go straight to topcoat.

02How We Get There

Measured on site, not quoted over the phone.

Every plaster ceiling project starts with us walking your room, not a generic figure emailed sight unseen. Where an old, failing ceiling needs to come down first, that's handled as part of the same visit and the same quote.

  • A measured site visit before quotingWe come to you first. Beam positions, ceiling height, aircon ducting and existing wiring all get measured before a single figure is quoted.
  • Old ceiling removal & disposalWhere the existing plaster, plywood or PVC ceiling needs to come down first, we strip and haul it away as part of the same job.
  • A contractor who visits siteA plaster ceiling contractor near you across KL, Puchong, Shah Alam and Kepong — we measure before we quote, not after.

Signs You Need This

When a plaster ceiling
is worth it.

Most enquiries come from one of a handful of situations. If any of these sound familiar, a site visit is the next sensible step.

01
Your ceiling is still bare concrete slabNew-build units and gutted renovations are often left with an exposed concrete soffit — uneven, cold-looking, and showing every formwork mark until a ceiling goes in.
02
Cracking, sagging or water-stained plasterHairline cracks along joints, a ceiling that has started to sag, or old water-stain patches usually mean the board or skim coat has failed and needs replacing, not just repainting.
03
You want to hide beams, ducting or wiringStructural beams, aircon trunking and exposed conduit are common in older Klang Valley homes — a box-up or bulkhead ceiling folds them out of sight.
04
You are combining or reshaping roomsKnocking down a wall between two rooms almost always leaves a mismatched ceiling line that needs re-plastering to read as one continuous space.
05
You are renovating before a sale or rentalA tired popcorn or stained ceiling is one of the first things buyers and tenants notice — often a higher-return fix than new flooring alone.
Our Process

From site visit
to final coat.

A plaster ceiling installation typically runs seven to fourteen working days, depending on the number of rooms and how much needs to come down first.

01

Site Measurement

We visit and measure ceiling height, beam positions, ducting and existing damage before quoting a fixed price.

02

Profile & Layout

You choose flat, tray, cove or box-up — mapped against your actual floor plan, not a generic diagram.

03

Framing & Boarding

Metal furring channels go up first, then gypsum board is cut, fixed and taped, coordinated with your electrician where needed.

04

Skim Coat & Handover

A hand-applied skim coat, sanding and a final walkthrough with you before the crew leaves site.

Materials & Specifications

What actually goes
into the ceiling.

We spec materials to the room, not a single default — a bathroom and a living room don't call for the same board.

01
Gypsum board, 9mm or 12mmStandard board for most living areas and bedrooms; 12mm is specified for longer ceiling spans or where extra rigidity is needed.
02
Moisture-resistant board for wet areasBathrooms, kitchens and laundry areas use MR-rated board to resist humidity-driven sagging and mould.
03
Galvanised metal furring & carrying channelsThe support framework is metal, not timber battens, for a straighter, longer-lasting ceiling that won’t warp with humidity.
04
Flat, tray, cove and box-up profilesFrom a plain flat ceiling to a stepped tray with cove lighting recesses — profile choice affects both look and installed cost.
05
Joint tape, compound & skim finishFibre joint tape and multi-coat compound before the final skim, so board joints don’t telegraph through paint later.
Where We Work

Plaster ceiling contractor,
near you.

We survey and install across the Klang Valley — typically on site within days of your enquiry, not weeks.

Kuala Lumpur

From condo renovations in the city centre to landed homes in Bangsar and Bukit Tunku, we work around building management access rules and lift-lobby booking slots.

Selangor

Township landed homes across Selangor are our most common ceiling jobs — usually flat or tray profiles across multiple bedrooms in one visit.

Puchong

A high volume of our enquiries come from Puchong renovations — terrace and semi-D homes needing a full ceiling replacement after a gut renovation.

Shah Alam

Both new-build handover units and older Shah Alam sections come to us — new units for first-fit ceilings, older ones for replacement.

Kepong

Kepong’s mix of older landed homes means ceiling jobs here often start with removing a failing plywood or PVC ceiling first.

Pricing Factors

What affects
the cost.

We quote per project after a site visit, not a flat per-square-foot rate — these are the factors that move the number most.

01
Total ceiling areaThe single biggest driver — measured per room, since board, framing and labour all scale with square footage.
02
Ceiling height & accessHigh ceilings, stairwells or restricted lift access add scaffolding or extra labour time.
03
Profile complexityA flat ceiling costs less than a tray or box-up profile with multiple levels and cove recesses.
04
Existing ceiling removalStripping out an old plywood, PVC or failed plaster ceiling adds a day of demolition and disposal before installation starts.
05
Electrical & aircon coordinationCeilings built around cove lighting, downlights or aircon trunking need extra coordination time with your electrician.
06
Paint & finish levelA standard skim-and-prime finish is included; a fully painted handover is quoted separately.
Common Questions

Plaster ceiling
questions, answered.

It depends on ceiling area, profile (flat vs. tray vs. box-up) and whether an old ceiling needs to come down first. We quote a fixed price after a site visit rather than an estimate over the phone — most homeowners use our online calculator for a ballpark first.
